Bumbo vs. bebe pod seats?

I'm just wondering what other parents opinions on these infant seats are... i'm trying to decide which to buy for my 5mon old for christmas. I'm a little wary of the bebe pod as far as what i read about a "chemical smell" upon taking it out of the packaging... and being that its december i don't think letting it "air out in the sun" is really an option...... help!
