How do i convince my mom?

she really doesn't want to buy anything from ebay, but everything is so cheap. She keeps telling me no, but idk why. I want to know how to convince her that its a good idea, Also, has anyone ever bought a bran-new ipod nano(3rd gen.) on ebay under 50$, if so, how did you do it?
