Is it that weird for a boy to get extensions?

i play guitar in a punk band and i really need long hair 4 stage presents yesterday i got extensions cuz im asian n my hair takes FOREVER to grow long my famly are already laughing at me n i can imagine what my punk friends will say u think theyll forget eventually or should i play it like a glam thing?? or do i take them out?? they were hella xpensive had to save up for a long time........coulda used it on new gear n i cant return em so what would u do
