Pubic hair bumps?

My husband doesn't like a lot of hair down there in the area, and each time I shave, I use a regular silky touch BIC razor for women, and I shave downwards. After i swabbed some alcohol as well as putting some vaseline down there as well. I still end up getting a hair bump or razor bump a few days later, and it bothers me. I know I dont have a STD but ewww its a gross looking one, and it takes forever to go away. Can someone help me by telling me what to use and what to do when I get this to go away? My friend told me swab some vinegar on them, and i did...and it only made it sting and get bigger.
